However, it wasn\u2019t until she started baking sourdough that she truly fell in love, and that love led to a career change. She went from home baking to professional kitchens and eventually found herself head baker for a restaurant group in Pittsburgh, PA.\u0026nbsp;Katy joined the King Arthur Team in 2024 when her family relocated to New England. With a background in math education, she believes that baking is both a science and an art and that there is always more to learn. Her favorite bake is still sourdough bread, closely followed by fully laminated puff pastry and naturally leavened traditional Italian Panettone.
