I was always taught to treat all with kindness and respect no matter their color, religion, or nationality. I will always stand up for those in need every time. Our family experienced prejudice when they came here to the US. Some were placed in internment camps just because of where they come from. They lost their businesses, farms, homes, and families were torn apart. Some were even treated inhumanely. My grandparents always taught us that that is in the past and we have "come out of the ashes". We need to move forward to better the situation.
In light of the information that has come forth about BLM, I am really surprised that KAF would include them in your pic/story/site. I realize that no one is perfect. But we should all strive for goodness. This woman has a beautiful gift and soul and uses her gift in the right manner, giving to others. That being said, having that group posted on your page is the equivalent of having Caucasian groups, with less than honorable histories in the background. I really love KAF. I would really be disappointed if KAF had turned political.
P.S. I have never had sweet potatoe pie, but I will definitely try the recipe.
